Release Requirements
Having your vehicle towed is never fun. We’d like to help you get your car back as easily as possible.
Read below to learn about the various impound/storage types, and how to be best prepared so that the return of your vehicle can go smoothly. Be sure to bring all the required documentation with you.
Private Property Impounds
- VALID driver’s license
- KEYS to impounded vehicle
- Payment: All major credit cards or cash. NO CHECKS!
Impounds for the California Highway Patrol or Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office
- Release from CHP or SBSO is REQUIRED! No exceptions.
- Person obtaining CHP or SBSO release must be present at time of vehicle release with VALID driver’s license
- Must have CURRENT registration and insurance for impounded vehicle
- KEYS- if we do not have.
- Payment: All major credit cards or cash. NO CHECKS!
Stored Vehicles for California Highway Patrol or Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office
- MUST BE REGISTERED OWNER of stored vehicle. If not, our company policy requires the registered owner to complete our release form, accompanied by a photo copy of valid photo identification.
- Must have VALID driver’s license
- KEYS if we do not have.
- Must have CURRENT registration and insurance for impounded vehicle .
- Payment: All major credit cards or cash. NO CHECKS!
Owner’s Request Stored Vehicles
- VALID Driver’s License (if vehicle is being driven out) OR VALID photo ID (if vehicle is being towed out)
- Payment: All major credit cards or cash. NO CHECKS!
